We honor Stacy Nelson for many reasons! Year after year she amazes us as a David Lyng top producer all the while Stacy is known for her warm, accessible personality and tireless dedication to her clients. With 15 years in this industry, she has seen it all! Especially with this year’s challenges, she was able to rise above and have one of her best years yet! Now that’s resilience!
We asked Stacy some questions about her passions and local favorites! Check out her q&a below:
〰️ What do you like to do in your free time? I use my spare time to catch up on little things that are fun – I like to play music, watch movies, read, putter around my house. I walk and exercise daily too, and feel it’s a great way to de-stress after a busy day. I love to spend time with family & friends and always look forward to get-togethers – sometimes get-a-ways.
〰️ Who are your favorite people and why? My favorite people are my family. I have a son & daughter, grown and on their own, and a big extended group with parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws, nieces, and nephews, all spread out through the state and country. It’s a big group – all different and wonderful in their own ways. Everyone has a great sense of humor – I love them all.
〰️ Do you have any animals or pets? I’ve had a life-long passion for animals, and am a supporter of our local SPCA, the Animal Welfare Institute, and a wildlife conservation group. If we have 2nd life’s, I may spend the next one among animals in some capacity 🙂 I have a small parrot I rescued over 30 years ago, and have a dog Lucy.
〰️ Where are your favorite places and why? I love spending time on the Island of Kauai, stepping out of the airport and taking in that intoxicating scent of rainwater, flowers and forest. I love swimming in the warm ocean water with fins & snorkel and walking in the sand and along garden paths.
〰️ Favorite Local Eatery? Crow’s Nest upstairs patio for the ocean breeze and salt air! Palapas is another favorite. Any bakery (we have a few good ones) is a close runner-up.
〰️ Favorite Local Activity and where you like to do it? Walking along the beach at low tide is fun. Beach chair and book is a winner too. I like to hike sometimes, and there are some beautiful new trails at Glenwood Preserve.
