My life has revolved around houses; at first, I built them as a carpenter, then as a licensed general contractor, and for the last 30+ years, I have been a real estate broker, helping people buy and sell their homes.
During the 1990s, I worked exclusively as a Commercial Broker in Richmond, VA, earning a Top Producer award in 1996. With our two daughters, Jessica and Amber, my wife Marie and I moved to Santa Cruz in 1997 and never looked back. We think of Santa Cruz as the "Cat’s Meow." In 1998, we were blessed with our third daughter, Alexandra, a Santa Cruz native. What a great place to raise a family!
As fate would have it, the broker who helped us buy our first home recruited us in 1998. Just as Silicon Valley was taking off, we hit the ground running, working for The Real Estate Center in downtown Santa Cruz. In 2004, we were offered ownership of the brokerage and the building. In 2008, David and Sally Lyng approached us, and we proudly merged our interests with David Lyng & Associates! They have been continuously recognized as the premier real estate brokerage firm in the Monterey Bay Area, with five offices, over 200 agents, and a billion dollars in sales in 2022! My personal production has consistently ranked in the Top 10, earning me the prestigious President’s Elite Club Award each year since joining David Lyng & Associates.
Since arriving in Santa Cruz, I have been blessed to work with over 500 clients—330 buyers and 300 sellers—representing nearly a billion dollars in sales. Many of these clients have become good friends and continue to refer me to their friends and colleagues. I am energetic, positive, and proactive, with a wealth of experience to offer anyone thinking about buying or selling real estate.
