He has been a licensed REALTOR® and a trusted name in commercial and residential real estate sales, leasing, and management since 1979.
Following a successful commercial real estate career at the largest commercial real estate brokerage company in North America, and 18 years with local Santa Cruz area brokerages, Tom joined David Lyng Real Estate, the most respected real estate sales team in Santa Cruz County.
Tom is recognized as an expert in local real estate issues, and is quoted regularly in the Santa Cruz Sentinel newspaper, and has been interviewed on the Real Estate Weekly television program. He was recently interviewed for the NBC Nightly News Program as an expert on local commercial real estate trends.
He has completed numerous real estate transactions in his career, representing both buyers and sellers in many sales and lease transactions.
Tom has earned the designation of Certified Commercial Investment Member - CCIM. The designation is held by only 6% of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners nationwide, making them the go-to experts in their respective markets.
After completing a curriculum covering financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate, the agent submits a portfolio of closed transactions and must pass a rigorous 6-hour final exam.
Tom is an active member of the Santa Cruz Sunrise Rotary, the Santa Cruz Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and an active participant in Leadership Santa Cruz.
In his free time, Tom likes to surf, sail, ride his bicycle and spend time with his two children Tommy and Lizzy.
