When Caryl began her Real Estate Career more than 20 years ago she realized a different approach to real estate was needed. More than just a savvy saleswoman, she understood the key to success was to serve as a well-informed advisor and relentless advocate for her client's unique needs. 20 years later, her extraordinary list of very satisfied clients and word-of-mouth recommendations attest to the success of her well-grounded approach.
Like many of her clients, Caryl chose to live where she once loved to vacation. She moved to Santa Cruz from Silicon Valley and by the time she made Santa Cruz her home she knew the area well, as she had commuted to her position as Personnel Director at the Santa Cruz Seaside Company for years. Her extensive career in Human Resources (including as Personnel Officer in banking) provided valuable negotiation and assessment experience, including executive recruitment and union contract negotiation. The skill of finding the right person for a position has translated into her well-known knack for finding the right home for each client.
Having an intrinsic ability to help her clients enjoy the process of buying or selling a home, she also knows that a professional and skilled Realtor must possess high standards of ethics, conduct, and accountability. "I treat each client, and negotiate every term and condition as if each is a part of my family".
Caryl is active in the community, a proud grandmother, outdoor enthusiast, and supporter of youth initiatives. She has been with David Lyng Real Estate for more than 20 years and has been a consistent winner of company awards.
